Tim Patmont a.k.a. Atimatik started his professional music career over a decade ago as a bassist for Bay Area punk band, Loose Bearing. While on tour, he learned how to keep his audience energized by performing and learning from some of the most notorious and legendary punk acts.
...
During the mid-90's, he experienced SF's underground electronic music scene and was blown away by its early influences (DJ Dan, Barry Weaver, Donald Glaude to name a few). Because of his mechanical understanding of music, Atimatik quickly picked up the art of DJ'ing. As Atimatik progressed in skill, he landed DJ work with globally renowned Mephisto Odyssey (Warner Brothers Records).
Atimatik has been seen spinning at some of the most important clubs and parties all over California including Clockwerk Event's Atlantis, Live 105/Rocktronica at the Fillmore and the Great American Music Hall, Burning Man, Forum Nightclub, Polo's Blue Cube, Glas Kat, 550 Barneville, Love Parade SF '04 & '05, Fahrenheit, Alpha Bar, Gallery Lounge, Avalon, Jelly's, 1015, Cuccini's, Club Deep, Vault Ultralounge, Aura, Ruby Skye, and many more. Atimatik has recently found success with his monthly party LIFT, arguably the hottest party in the East Bay.
In June of 2005, Atimatik became "Breakbeat Champion" on DJForums.com, winning the final round of a series of mix submissions that got put against other DJ's in the same genre.
Atimatik's sets have the driving bass lines of electro house and breakbeats, that inevitably have the crowds throwing their hands in the air. Although you can still find Atimatik playing bass, his primary project remains spinning in front of frantic crowds with his unique, floor pumping style.

I really can't get over what a great mix Pushing the System is. Great track selection. I've listened to this one over and over and over. This one earned a permanent place on my mp3 player. :) I am definitely going to come see you perform live sometime soon!
