Hey all! I'm Ashley... I'm 24 years old living in Norfolk, Virginia, but I'm originally from Arlington, Virginia... Up near DC. I'm married with no children, but hopefully we'll have some in the future. I love EDM and I love love love to dance to it! I've been listening to EDM for about 6 years, but would have been listening to it longer if I didn't grow up going to a yuppie HS where everyone was into pop and other mainstream crap. I just never
...
had anyone introduce me to it. ;-) How I actually got into it?... thats another story... another day...
I just graduated a year and a half ago from Old Dominion University with a Human Services Counseling degree... and no... that does not mean I'm a real counselor, so don't come to me with your personal problems because I'm probably just as crazy as you are! :-D I work at the Hope House Foundation supporting adults with mental retardation. I'm also a manager, bartender, and server at Outback Steakhouse... YES... I like to stay busy, but unfortunately this cuts back on my partying and clubbing.
Well obviously I heard about this site from my friends Cid-X and Heykiddego, but one of my main reasons for being involved is to learn.
You can never learn enough and I continuously learn more and more about the world of EDM with each passing day. I'm a big fan of Trance, Vocal Trance, Progressive Trance, a little House, and a little DnB, but more importantly... I'm open to all! If you really want to know how this music effects me... check out the topic: "How does YOUR music make you feel"
under general chat in the EDM Spectrum Forums!
A big thanks to Cid-X and Heykiddego for inviting me to be a part of the team. I love to promote and my first task will be to help bring in new people to the forums as well as recruit up and coming artist for the showcases. Also... I like to think that I am on an equal level with the general public when viewing the site. For the past two weeks I've been relaying user views as well as my own to the founders to try to make the site more efficient and "visit worthy." I believe the goal of this site is to cater to the wants and needs of the users as well as the artists that are showcased. So if you have any suggestions or comments, be sure to let one of us know so we can implement the changes. ;-)
See you 'round the Spectrum :-D
