I've only been into the electronica scene for a little bit over 2 years now. My passion for the music started on December 4th 2004 in a warehouse rave in Queens New York. In the weeks following that rave I downloaded massive amounts of electronica. First came Mainstream Trance and Techno classics (like Darude, Zombie Nation, and Robert Miles, Yea i know...). I attempted producing song like these with no success. Well, one song was good, The Impossible Candy Machine. It was about 125 Bpm and very trancy but the minor scale gave a really sad feeling to it. It was never on myspace but I might eventually make more accounts to post all of my previous works. Eventually I stop trying to "re-produce" music and began experimenting with random noises and trying to piece them together into a somewhat organized arrays of chaos. By doing this I began to learn the in and outs of musical production and how to synth sounds.
Months later my style took a turn toward the phychedelic trance side, still expiremental at this point. I was introduced to an Infected Mushroom song called Converting Vegetarians by my friend Reznik. It wasn't long until I began Mass downloading Infected Mushroom. At this point I thought that they we're amazing and completely unique. Little did i know that this was a whole new genre of music that I have yet to discover.
...
My style shifts again, more toward the expiremental side, not so much trance but still psychedelic. I start making darker sounding tracks. I used Charles Manson speeches and sliced them to shit and rearranged what he was saying (things like Kill, Kill, Kill people now, Kill people). That particular song was never officially released but was on myspace for a little while due to the fact that my Fianc˙˙ wanted to add it onto her myspace page. I have since almost perfected the art of vocal slicing and granulizing so I will recycle those slices because I like them so much. Sytle shifts even more toward the psychedelic side, psytrance psytech goa??maybe??. But its a blend of experimental, hard trance, and psy/goa. As of recent i've only produced one "main-streamish" type song. I called it Run The Train. I don't know what inspired me to make this song, but i did.
I've expanded my borders into hip and/or hop (ha ha i made a funny). Side project started code named Sed Tha Skwerl (SDS) (www.myspace.com/sedtheskwerl). Its a blend of psychedelic beats and vocals (see SDS profile for further info). So far it has come to a screaching halt because of a lack in the availibility of fresh talent who want to collaborate with me. Anyone is welcome to join the project at anytime, story telling rappers are more than welcome, dark lyrics are prefered but not limited to only that.
New Songs are currently in the process of production. Recent Beach Rave events have inspired me quite a bit. I have a feeling my song style will once a again shift towards a new direction, maybe more elongated build and more brain tricks. Slicing is now a large portion of my style, i doubt that it will ever change. New material is also in the process of being written for more songs with lyrics. Be expecting original Material from Me Feat. Heather Pillis and maybe others, who at this point have not been discovered yet or no verbal agreement hass been made with for studio time *cough* shitty computer mic in my room in my parents house *cough*.
I'm looking to collaborate with anyone willing to work with me, I can produce all sorts of different styles of electronica, so don't be shy if you want to work with me on a track. Who knows, maybe we'll create something completely unique and out of this world.
