I've been listening to the genre since about age 10-11, always wanted turntables but I never had the money. I had always called it techno too, so it's not like I was the cream of the crop for DJing anyway. There was always producing, not that I knew what that was at the time, but I found out eventually.
...
I started producing about a year or two ago (04/05) on my 98 using sound recorder and splicing, speeding up and echoing songs. That didn't go too well. Then I got a Mac with Garage Band on it (February Vacation, 2005). I made about 7 songs with it but I knew there was a problem: none of it sounded right. Well Christmas 05, my brother got me Live5, and my music has gotten a little better. The thing is, I'm using all the MIDIs and Wavs from Garage Band. My bro has 7 gigs of that though so I need to get a hold of him soon.
I'm interested in producing house, trance (hardcore, goa/psy and plain old trance) as well as rave. As of 3/4/06 I'm still experimenting with Live5. I feel I've come a long way since my younger days, but I know I still have a long way to go.
Future location: Depends on where life takes me, hopefully college but currently I'm only going to go for sports...that is, I don't know what I want to do. I would love to do more men's gymnastics, but I don't know how far that path is going to go, heck I would love to do men's gymnastics. But if I don't take to a life of sports, then maybe a life of dance music, and maybe I'll follow in my brother's foot steps and move out to New York.
Favorite song(s): I'm torn between a few, my all time favorite is Rosa Blue (don't know the specifics but it's about 10 minutes long), I also love Strings of Life (Derrick May), The Second Trip (DJ Scott Project, and remixed by Hennes & Cold), Enjoy The Silence (Sasha), Till There Was You (Rachel Starr, I think she did the singin' but I'm not sure who did what for that), The Bells (Jeff Mills), and Happy Hour and Ready To Wear (Felix Da Housecat). Well yeah those are some of my favorites. I have others but I do not know what they're called.
Yehap that's about all I'm willing to put up for now.
I'm open to suggestions and constructive criticism on my songs. I don't expect to change anything much, nor change them right away.
