Veronica Start - Biography
Veronica Start is a singer/songwriter from Vancouver, Canada, who is always adding to her collection of songs with the first dance/pop single called 'You're a Star'.
As a recording artist, Veronica has achieved international airplay with her voice and original music being supported by top radio & club DJ's like Sasha, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Graham Gold, Matt Darey, Paul Kershaw, Darren Tate, and Adam White; with mainstream radio exposure on Kiss100 & Galaxy FM in the UK.
Veronica is proud of her Métis background – a Canadian term describing a blend of American Indian and French. Humble beginnings and tough emotional experiences have embedded this artist's voice with a penetrating potency you'll not forget. The debut track, 'You're a Star', instantly engages empathy and uplifts with a rich intensity that delivers one of the most memorable choruses you'll hear this year.
Veronica's music didn't get going until arriving in Vancouver in 1991 where she began performing on demos for underground producers as a soul-diva singer. She quickly moved onto to being featured on the "Finesse & Showbiz" pop/rap debut (Johnny Jet Records) produced by Troy (Golden Child) Samson and John (West End Girls) Dexter.
Veronica soon earned her road-license by touring with a Feldman agency top 40 cover-band where she performed techno and pop hits at the top clubs in Vancouver (Richard on Richard's, The Big Bamboo, and Craig's Place), Jasper and Edmonton. Club DJs often were not impressed as the band always out-performed their best dance-floor fillers and Veronica built a name as one of the city's best pop vocalists.
Veronica also performed jazz standards with a guitarist, for more intimate audiences, further developing her voice into an instrument with great range, depth, and power. This broadened her musical tastes but Veronica now leans towards her love of EDM - the more powerful and euphoric, the better!
Learning Logic Audio, Reason and Pro Tools literally changed Veronica's life as she finally had a means of realising the original songs filling her head, all drawing from rich musical & life experience.
Veronica Start now lives near London, UK. She writes her own stuff and runs her own website: www.veronicastart.com and is seeking wider distribution & promotion for her music. She can be contacted on +44 (0)7748 770 097.

Dirty Bass
Dirty Bass is no stranger to the charts. DirtyBlue 001, a remix of Bjork's "Joga" was released in 2003, and within 3 weeks topped the charts. It was then taken on by Sasha and became one of the Dance hits of the summer, getting played as one of the encore tune at Sasha`s set in Glastonbury, and other places around the world. The release was called Emotional Soundscape, and is featured on Sasha`s site. DirtyBlue 002 is getting caned once again by Sasha.
The Dirty Bass progressive remix of Veronica Start's 'You're a Star' has been supported by DJ Sasha (who requested the files for use in his live shows) and Graham Gold (Ministry of Sound radio).
