What's up everybody! This is yours truly, Cid-X a.k.a. Josh for those who may know me already face to face. So let's get down to the nitty gritty on my details, besides the fact that I am detail oriented (read: Virgo). I'm no longer a teen and soon will be legal. YAY!!! It's not rocket science here. I'm from P-H-I-L-L-Y! I've been in love with EDM since I was a child. I'd say it all started with Euro House, Anthem House, and Freestyle. Then it ... grew into Epic Trance, Hard Trance & NRG (my current favorites), and then upon stumbling upon Ishkur's Guide during one of my own side research projects, I started looking for real techno. My favorites in particular are Classic, Acid, Hard Acid, Bangin', German, Swedish Techno. Others include Futurepop, Tech Trance, and Symphonic, and Anthem Trance. Basically I like variety. OK, lemme just say it here, I found out a whole lot more about EDM at this point. It wasn't until the past 3 years that I finally began to learn about EDM. A couple of years ago, I probably woulda called it all "techno" as well.

I consider myself the black sheep of the family cuz I'm such a dorky oddball and proud of it. Trying to be popular and "fit-in" has proven time and time again to be pointlessly futile. Hence a black sheep being my main avatar.

I attend Temple University and I am a junior in the School of Business taking up Entrepreneurship as my major. I am currently considering about adding Broadcast Telecommunications & Mass Media (BTMM) as my 2nd major. After all, I need to apply my entrepreneurial knowledge on something. I've always wanted to own my own business, be my own boss. I just never really had a clue of what I really wanted to do. I had ideas in the past but they kinda faded away except for the fact that I wanted to be in charge. I've always had an interest in music but never really thought about it until the past 2 years. Currently I am lookin at forming my own record label, devoted to EDM. I also plan to start up and run other businesses among friends who look up to me. Right now, I am a computer lab consultant in one of TU's computer labs.

I also think about becoming a DJ and then an artist and producer. This means I will have a lot to learn but that's just life. Nobody comes to this world knowing it all. I tend to think in the future a lot, I sometimes forget the present. I got DJ turntables and a mixer ready to play but I need to cough up the money for speakers and vinyl and begin my journey. The pseudonym Cid-X is derived from Final Fantasy 7 which is IMO the greatest RPG of all time. My favorite character is Cid. My favorite letter of the alphabet is X cuz it stands for everything xtreme and waaay out there. The xtreme is a big part of my personality being that my moon sign is Scorpio. Honesty, explosive energy, and desire for freedom are my most treasured trait as shown by my ascendant sign, Sagittarius. Yea, I have an interest in the zodiac as well.

I started forming groups like these cuz I consider myself a seeker of truth. EDM is not a very well known and often critically stereotyped by the mainstream and those who follow such trends here in the US. It is my intention to find those who are into the music and what better way to connect that the internet these days? And I find that when we connect, it's like having a brother or sister you never had. It's through such powerful connections that I met heykiddego and Ashley. Also very good reason why I don't sleep much anymore I should add.

As much as I know about EDM now but I am and always will be learning. I am so happy about the formation of The EDM Spectrum and I look to forward to seeing more people on here and the community to grow. Welcome to The EDM Spectrum and hope you enjoy your stay here.
