花上一個下午的時間，可以在這里好好的欣賞老房子、散散步。若是能在這里的老房子古厝民宿住上一晚，是來金門游玩不錯的一個選擇。古蹟酉堂、蔡開盛宅都是非常具有代表性的古蹟建筑，蔡開盛宅更是已經對外開放為民宿，還取了一個很鄉土親切的名字，水頭一家親古厝民宿。值得注意的是，為了維護古蹟，這兩個地方是不對一般人開放的，只有住房的游客可以一窺百年前的建筑細節。

金門里面有很多聚落，皆保留很多美麗的建筑，也改建為民宿，非常適合旅途中的住宿點。水頭聚落最有們的就是他的洋樓建筑，其中以粉色的得月樓最著名。還有一間金水學校也是可以好好參觀一番，這里是很多僑生返鄉學習的地方，里面也很詳細的金門人向海外移民的血淚史紀錄。

金門是個小地方，很有特色的不多，這里維持的很好，可以來走走。村頭很小，還是要做功課才知道歷史由來，還蠻有趣的。

Very nice, traditional houses, even compared to the other villages on the island. Some are abandoned and decaying, but I think that adds to the charm. Check out the decorations on the roofs, as well as on the roofs of other traditional homes and temples on the rest of Jinmen Island.

When visiting heritage-rich Kinmen, there is nowhere better to stay than a historical resident house. These traditional southern Fujianese 閩南 buildings often came with a rich history and heartening stories as Kinmen was the site of fierce fighting between Communist and Nationalist forces when the latter withdrew from the mainland in 1949. I stayed at Chong Lou Minsu 銃樓民宿 located in the Shuitou village cluster. Chong Lou Minsu was also the movie setting for a Taiwanese idol drama Summer Fever 戀夏38℃

石畳のメーンストリート(といっても車が通らない舊道)の両側に獨特な金門様式の家が並んでいます。といっても、３０mくらい。とてもこじんまりとしています。片端に門があり、上に登ると牧歌的な風景が楽しめます。もう片端にはお寺があって、Wind Lionが町を守ってます。高粱酒工場が近くにあるので、そこのついでにいく、というところでしょうか。

水頭地域にはいくつかの民宿が有ります。その中の「水頭一家親」と言う宿はリノベーションされた宿となっておりお勧めです。

ここの集落に今回泊まった民宿があり、近くに樓?廟がありました。くねくねしている道で、また同じ家が多いので迷いそうになりましたが、タイムスリップした雰囲気の集落でした。
