Pagoda was built to preserve the ash of important monks in the white Pagoda in central yard.The entrance gate is beautiful with colored tile.The entrance yard is small with Drum and Bell towers.If you had enough time in Datong to visit this place, take a short visit of the yards and spend more time in the last yards museum of paintings and calligraphy by the famous live monk of the temple.

ガイドブックには載っており、九龍壁と和陽門の間に位置し、どちらからも徒歩數分なので立地は最高です。が、外で１０分ほど様子をみましたが、外から寫真だけ撮る中國人観光客は多いものの、４０元を払って中に入る人はゼロでした。私も外からと城壁の上から寫真を撮っただけにしました。見どころは白い風変わりな塔のようです。
